By Sifted reporters 4 August 2021 It’s been a big six months for startups in Paris, which have raised €4.1bn in fresh venture capital funding. This is compared to €2.9bn in all of 2020 — the city is already having a record year. So, it’s time we updated our Europe-famous (soon to be world-famous) Paris startup ranking, which lists the most exciting young companies in town. We’ve cleaned up the data (courtesy of Dealroom), removed the dead weights and also welcomed several newbies onto the list, which includes the biggest established players as well as new voices. Over 20 new startups have ascended the ranks. The criteria for selection extended to those who, over the past 12 months, announced a notable Series A and B round; or saw strong growth numbers or a healthy new valuation; or led an ‘up-and-coming’ sub-sector.
